Implementing EMDR in Foster Care: Year Two Lessons from NYC

This report presents insights from the second year of Action Research’s evaluation of an innovative initiative to improve access to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for young people in New York City foster care. The pilot program, a joint effort between the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Office of School Health, involves providing EMDR training to mental health clinicians working within foster care agencies.
